About the Role
VoxCell is seeking a hands-on Lab Technician to support daily bioprinting operations. This is a highly practical, lab-based role focused on operating bioprinting equipment and producing tissue constructs according to established protocols.
This position requires spending most of the workday in the laboratory environment performing repetitive, detail-oriented tasks. The ideal candidate is comfortable with routine lab work, follows protocols precisely, and enjoys consistency and structure in their daily responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Experience in production and quality control settings
Operate custom bioprinting equipment to produce 3D tissue constructs following established protocols
Perform repetitive, production-focused lab tasks with high attention to detail
Prepare materials, reagents, and consumables required for daily printing activities
Monitor printing processes and report deviations or issues to senior lab staff
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of lab workspaces
Follow SOPs, safety procedures, and quality standards consistently
Accurately document work completed, batch records, and basic observations
Support day-to-day lab operations to ensure reliable and timely tissue production
Qualifications
Previous hands-on laboratory experience in an academic, industrial, or applied lab setting
Comfort working full-time in a lab environment performing repetitive tasks
Ability to follow detailed protocols and instructions consistently
Strong attention to detail and manual precision
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently once trained
Technologist diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics engineering, or related field
Compensation
Base Salary: CAD $52,000-$60,000 annually, depending on experience
Vacation: 15 days of paid vacation per year
