Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Bioinformatics Consultant to join our team. This role is pivotal in analyzing complex biological data and providing insights that drive research and development in the life sciences sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in bioinformatics engineering with proficiency in various programming languages and cloud computing technologies.

Duties

Utilize cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS, for scalable data storage and processing. Evaluate existing pipeline infrastructure, provide guiddance on automations and efficiency opportunities Create and maintain databases to store genomic information and ensure data integrity. Conduct statistical analysis using tools such as R, Python, SAS, or C++ to support research findings. Visualize complex datasets using appropriate data visualization techniques to communicate findings effectively. Stay current with advancements in bioinformatics, genetics, and molecular biology to inform project strategies.

Skills

Strong knowledge of cloud computing environments, especially AWS (Batch and EC2 required). Experience with orchestration tools such as Nextflow Proficiency in bioinformatics tools and techniques, including next-generation sequencing analysis. Solid understanding of biochemistry, molecular biology and genetics Competence in programming languages such as Python and scripting for automation tasks. Ability to conduct thorough data analysis and statistical analysis using various software tools. Excellent communication skills for presenting complex information clearly to diverse audiences. Pay: $50.00-$95.00 per hour
