Campus: University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC)Description: An overview of the most significant advances in cellular microbiology. The curriculum will include cellular mechanisms of microbial pathogenesis, as well as recognition and elimination of pathogens by cells. Students will be required to participate in class discussions, and give oral presentations of scientific papers.Minimum Qualifications: Successful candidates should have or be near completion of their Ph.D. and be knowledgeable in cellular microbiology/host pathogen interaction and familiar with the most recent literature in the field (teaching experience preferred).Duties: Specific duties include designing and delivering lectures and tutorials, guiding student discussions and assessing oral presentations, designing and marking quizzes, writing assignments and exams, office hours and miscellaneous clerical tasks. Please note the delivery for all lectures and assessments is in person on the UTSC campus.Teaching Assistants may be allocated for support of 35 hours if the enrolment is sufficient.Closing Date: 08/19/2024, 11:59PM EDT
