Based in Toronto and reporting to the Manager of Structural and Tunnel Projects. What will you do? \xe2\x80\xa2 Structural BIM modelling and CAD drawing development and project coordination. Working in conjunction with the Project Principal, Project Engineer, and other members of the design team to complete projects of varying size and complexity from start to finish \xe2\x80\xa2 In our team environment, as workload requires, assist other Project CAD/BIM Technologists in completing work for their project deadlines \xe2\x80\xa2 Coordinate the varying responsibilities associated with managing and producing drawings for structural projects, including managing specific files and directories.

  • Prepare submissions for plotting, issue and archiving. \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide support in creation of standards and methods to further the strategic development of relevant BIM technologies \xe2\x80\xa2 Working with the project team from initial evaluation through design to construction completion. \xe2\x80\xa2 Collaborate and coordinate drawings and models with other disciplines and project team members. \xe2\x80\xa2 Attending site and writing reports subsequent to field work \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist in the generation of contract administration documentation \xe2\x80\xa2 Attendance at construction progress meetings \xe2\x80\xa2 Completion of periodic field review during construction \xe2\x80\xa2 Completion of shop drawings review during construction \xe2\x80\xa2 Other duties as assigned What do you need to succeed?
  • An applicable degree or diploma in architectural or engineering technology \xe2\x80\xa2 2-3 years of related experience drafting, designing, and modeling, with an interest in conducting site work on occasion as well \xe2\x80\xa2 Educational or work experience in drafting (AutoCAD), BIM modelling (Revit) and designing. \xe2\x80\xa2 In-depth knowledge of construction methodology, building assemblies, materials \xe2\x80\xa2 Any of Navisworks, Revit add-ins related to structural design or Microstation experience will be considered an asset. \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
