Job Brief



We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to manage our sales transactions. The responsibilities include creating and sending invoices and credit memos, monitoring customer and reviewing invoicing discrepancies. Supporting Accounts Receivable.

Our ideal candidate should have experience in billing procedures and be able to handle deadlines. A strong sense of organization and sound mathematical skills are also vital for this role. Ultimately, the Billing Specialist will help us achieve our financial goals while ensuring we provide our customers with accurate and timely invoicing.

Role and Responsibilities



The Billing Specialist is primarily responsible for handling billing and some payment related duties. Billing Specialists main task is to issue and ensure customers receive invoices.

As a Billing Specialist it is necessary to ensure that all billing procedures comply with the company's standards and regulations.

Billing Specialists also review purchase records and financial transactions to ensure their accuracy. You will be required to handle disputes and resolve billing inconsistencies.

Additionally, it is important to maintain a record of all transactions and prepare regular billing reports for management.

They also work closely with other departments, particularly sales and logistics, to handle any issues related to billing and payments. Your goal is to maintain the financial health of the company by ensuring timely and accurate billing.

Create and issue invoices, credit memos and execute account transactions Update accounts receivable database with new accounts and details Update customer records and issuance of monthly statements Collaborate with the sales team to ensure accurate billing Resolve billing issues and customer complaints Prepare and present reports on billing activity Aid Accounts Receivable process as required

Billing Specialist Responsibilities



A competent Billing Specialist should possess a combination of technical skills, financial expertise, and soft skills to handle the responsibilities of the role, including:

Strong mathematical skills to accurately handle billing calculations and financial data Excellent attention to detail to ensure that all bills, invoices, and payments are accurate and promptly processed Ability to use billing software and other relevant computer applications proficiently Strong organization skills to manage and maintain all billing records efficiently Effective communication skills to handle inquiries and correspondence with customers regarding billing issues Customer service skills to handle customer issues and disputes regarding invoices in a professional manner Problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve billing discrepancies and errors Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial procedures Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy
