Ledcor is hiring a Billing Specialist for an 18 Month contract position based in Edmonton. In this position you will be responsible for accurate and timely entry, maintenance and reporting of data in the company financial system.
Your experience allows you to work with a high attention to detail, analytical work, reporting and data validation supporting multiple clients and processes. As a Billing Specialist you will also be responsible for the auditing of processed transactions and reporting of various business functions. You will handle complex billing matters while serving as a trusted advisor and knowledge expert for the team.

Essential Responsibilities:
Maintain organized and current financial records, including billing statements, payment histories, and project financials
Track and reconcile accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding client payments
Ensure accurate transaction processing by maintaining required data within third-party systems
Assist with documenting processes and updating user manuals for billing systems and procedures
Support the Accounting Lead with financial reporting, accrual consolidation, reconciliations, and ad hoc reports.
Coordinate and post journal entries, and participate in invoice batch review and approval in JDE
Support contract review, setup, and management to align with billing and project requirements
Generate and submit accurate, timely invoices based on contract terms and project milestones
Collaborate with project managers, accounting teams, and clients to resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues
Contribute to process improvements by implementing best practices and technologies to enhance billing efficiency
Qualifications:
Minimum 4 years of billing experience
Post-secondary business degree or similar would be considered an asset
Strong proficiency with computerized systems (primarily Microsoft Excel)
Experience with electronic billing systems or financial ERP would be an asset
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Ability to work independently and in a team environment, able to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines
Work Conditions:
This position is a hybrid in office/from home with 1-2 days a week attending the office
