We\'re looking for a Billing & Operations Specialist to join our Billing & Support team in North America.

As a billing and operations specialist your main responsibility is to ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and processed, and that the company\'s operations run smoothly and efficiently. You\'ll need to thrive on helping people out and delivering excellent customer service in addition to being a quick learner to help keep this machine running. This requires a wide range of skills and abilities, including strong communication skills, attention to detail, and to keep things moving without a hitch. At Lightspeed, we practice this in our Sales Operations team, where no two days are the same.

What you\'ll be doing:

  • Resolve billing, subscription, and shipment inquiries via phone and email directly from customers and through our internal team.
  • Sending invoices and resolving billing customer escalations for internal support
  • Diligently document and track customer issues and resolutions.
  • Ensuring that SLAs related to emails, phone calls, and voicemails are continuously exceeded and that efforts are made for same-day responses.
  • Collaborate with peers and other departments for specific issues impacting customers.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve billing processes and customer management.
  • Validate and update customer account information.
  • Inbound Lead qualification
  • Deal approval
  • Monitoring the billing system to ensure accurate information
  • Past due invoice follow ups
  • Process integrity check account state audits (this mainly applies to our refund and credit process) & update dishonored payment records
With a little bit of....
  • Respond to general billing enquiries from customers via Zendesk/Email.
  • Support for Support/AE/AM team for any urgent Billing Request.
  • Billing support for projects.
  • Manual invoicing using Stripe.
  • Handle other duties and responsibilities as defined by management.
  • Contributing as part of the wider team to achieve organizational objectives even if this means doing things that aren\'t strictly within the scope of your role.
What you need to bring:

We\'re looking for a Junior candidate who has experience with the following:
  • Proficient in Google workspace
  • Basic knowledge of SAAS services.
  • Even better if you have experience working with CRM tools such as Hubspot, but not necessary
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Experience in a customer-facing role and remarkable communication skills.
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills in English
  • A positive, energetic and a can-do mentality
