About the role
Join CMHC\'s Marketing team in the role of Bilingual Video & Multimedia Producer. You will support the planning and implementation of social media and multimedia activities in order to drive program and brand awareness.

This is a temporary position of a duration of 24 months.

What you\'ll do:
  • Support the implementation of social media strategies, activities, and policies.
  • Provide strategic guidance to internal and external clients on how to leverage multimedia opportunities on social media to help meet their objectives.
  • Leverage video, audio, and other digital media to communicate compelling stories on CMHC\'s social media channels and websites.
  • Develop short-form video content (organic and paid ads) for social media platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, and Instagram, based on a sound understanding of the target audience and messaging and best practices.
  • Effectively manage multimedia projects through their various stages including concept development, scriptwriting, production, post-production, accessibility documentation (open/closed captions and descriptive transcripts), and publishing.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks of all deliverables. Ensure that multimedia productions meet both industry standards and corporate brand harmonization standards.
What you should have:
  • An Undergraduate degree or equivalent post-secondary training in marketing, video production, broadcast or animation and a minimum of three years of relevant experience in video production and multimedia.
  • Proficiency in using video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X, or Davinci Resolve, different types of cameras (mirrorless cinema, DSLR, gimbals, drones), lenses, lighting and familiarity with design and animation tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.
  • Understanding of audio recording techniques and mixing for video and podcast content.
  • A strong understanding of multimedia consumption, trends in a social media and digital environment.
  • Multimedia planning skills, including generating content ideas, scriptwriting, and production scheduling.
  • Experience in project management and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • The ability to communicate a clear, impactful story in a variety of visual media.
  • Bilingualism (French and English).
