About the roleJoin the Multi-Unit (MU) Business Operations System and Support division. In this role, you will provide effective expertise and guidance by leading multi-disciplinary projects impacting multiple stakeholders within the corporation in support of our strategic results.What you'll do:
  • Work with sector and senior management to identify, develop and implement innovative business processes, data optimizations solutions and controls to address business risks and challenges.
  • Design business system process required to improve operational capability, efficiency and client experience, within the MU commercial business and its related data environment.
  • Create and maintain MU operations process and control documentation and develops strategies for effective insurance risk data analysis, governance, management, and reporting.
  • Identify priority business needs for data, indicators and related analytics through effective engagement with clients and identify opportunities to take on new analytical techniques used for data analysis and interpretation.
  • Develop and manage business reporting and monitoring while reviewing and maintaining data integrity.
  • Work with leaders from various CMHC business lines and functions to identify opportunities for CMHC to fully leverage MU data for strategic advantages and work with them to document the data-driven business initiatives and supporting data governance use cases, anticipated benefits and data risk management framework assessment.
  • Leverage and promote corporate data standards and governance as well as oversee data integrity and quality monitoring; collaborate with data experts as needed.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal clients at varying levels, taking into consideration their unique needs, challenges and circumstances.
What you should have:
  • An undergraduate degree in a related field such as computer science, business administration or commerce.
  • A minimum of seven years of relevant experience with increasing responsibilities in housing finance, insurance or business system management.
  • An in-depth understanding of CMHC products and services.
  • Sound analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to capture and synthesize information to develop recommendations and provide advice.
  • The ability to deliver a persuasive and clear presentation of ideas that will convince others and gain acceptance of proposals or plans.
  • The ability to work on different projects in ambiguity and in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Strong background in processes, controls and systems.
  • Superior problem-solving skills.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
It would be great if you also had:
  • An MBA and/or PMP.
  • A Lean Six Sigma certificate.
  • A background in real estate, construction or project finance.
