Reporting to the Vice President of Sales for BB our new Business Development Representative individual will have primary responsibility for growing our sales in the education sector in Ontario. The key to success in this role will be engaging with key decision-makers within institutions and purchasing groups operating across this territory for all the brands represented by the BB group. We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for someone who understands this sector and is excited by the opportunity to take our product lines to a largely untapped market. If they are successful, the opportunity exists for this to grow into a leadership role for a team they will get to build to serve this market.Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute tasks outlined in the Sales Action Plan established by company managers to actively engage with schools and other targeted organizations to:
  • Visit and follow up with customers and prospects to sell and promote our products, services, and events through the established process (SPIN)
  • Develop a Territory Action Plan in alignment with the corporate Sales Action Plan and adjust it to maximize benefits for the brands owned by Groupe Brault & Bouthillier (Brault & Bouthillier, LKG, Avron)
  • Identify growth opportunities and challenges within their territory especially in markets outside of the Greater Toronto Area where most of our current business is
  • Engage and meet with purchasing group leaders, as well as decision-makers in school service centers or early childhood environments within their territory to promote Groupe BB brands and position themselves as preferred partners
  • Manage logistics and represent BB at events such as conferences and trade shows
  • Ensure information transmission to internal partners (customer support function and administration) to maintain BB\'s service quality
  • Take responsibility for a significant area of expertise in brand development to support colleagues, if needed, in securing major sales
  • Update our CRM and ERP and events calendar as required

  • Bachelor\'s degree in business or related field
  • 5+ years in institutional sales. Understanding of/experience selling to the education market will be considered a major asset. (In other words, it\xe2\x80\x99s almost a must have).
  • Fluency in English and French languages is a strong asset. Impeccable speaking and writing in English is a must.
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the province as necessary to expand our presence.
  • Proficiency with software and mastery of Microsoft Office
  • Results driven, deadline focused.

Our head office is in Montreal and we\'ll expect this person to visit us a couple times each year for company general meetings. While this person will primarily work from home, one of our companies has a head office in Scarborough and work space is available and we will encourage this new person to find the opportunity to work from there and build relationships with other parts of the organization as appropriate.Powered by JazzHR
