Position: Bilingual Production Foreman - Welding/Plasma/Laser Cutting and Press Brakes
Location: Ottawa East on site
Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 per year based on experience
Job Type: Permanent
Shift: Monday - Thursday 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. / overtime: Fridays 7:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (if needed)
Benefits: Health, vision and dental 50/50 at 3 months, RRSP at 6 months, 2 weeks of vacation, 4 paid shut down weeks (July and December)

Job Requirements:

- 7+ years of experience in the field of industrial manufacturing/production line
- AEP in metal material preparation; DEP in precision sheet metal work or DEP in tin smiting an asset
- Experience working on plasma or laser cutting tables on large press brakes (from 350 tons to 1250 tons) and/or good experience with press brakes
- Bilingualism (French, English)
- At least 3-5 years of experience in supervising employees with multiple work teams
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and imperial and metric systems of measurement
- Experience with overhead cranes, an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Tasks:

- Work with plasma or laser cutting tables on large press brakes (from 350 tons to 1250 tons)
- Use of numerical control systems to adjust and operate the machines
- Read blueprints and use imperial and metric systems of measurement
- Monitor and use overhead cranes
- Supervise employees in multiple areas
- Exercise excellent judgment and escalate issues as needed
- Basic use of computers
- Demonstrate leadership, initiative, high motivation and excellent communication skills
- Work safely at all times and a good sense of humor is essential!
