Cambrian College's Employment Options- Val Caron has an immediate requirement for a Bilingual Liaison Coordinator.

Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chair, Employment Options, the Bilingual Liaison Coordinator will act as a frontline guide dedicated to improving the reach, accessibility, and experience of Francophone job seekers in a way that is complementary to that of the provincial integrated employment services (IES). The incumbent will also be responsible for:
Developing local strategies to attract, welcome and retrain French-speaking job seekers
Building strong relationships with employees and community partners to foster an inclusive environment
Facilitating program coordination and delivery by ensuring all tools, communications and resources are accessible in French
Offering individualized, culturally and linguistically adapted support through the path to employment
Researching, developing and delivering new employment workshops and materials on topics that address the ongoing needs of Francophone clients
Contributing to network-wide cross-regional collaboration and knowledge sharing efforts
Maintaining updated service directories and community contacts, including qualified French-speaking trainers or facilitators
Representing Cambrian College and promoting bilingual employment opportunities at Francophone-focused career fairs, education events and recruitment sessions
Collecting and analyzing participate data relevant to Francophone job seekers.
Assisting in preparing reports or summaries that reflect bilingual service engagement and workforce development outcomes.
Qualifications

Must have a two-year postsecondary diploma in social services, community navigation or a related field.(A copy of educational documents must be submitted with application education completed outside of Canada, applicants are required to submit a WES or ICAS with their application). Minimum of 2 years' experience in liaison or coordination roles
Experience working in multicultural environments
Fluency in both official languages (oral and written).
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
The ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Excellent customer service skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet research, and social media platforms.
Applicants must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable vehicle.
Additional Assets/Preferred:
Familiar with government or non-profit sectors
Solid background in working within the employment services field.
