Job Summary

The primary role of the Bilingual Installation Administrator is the set-up and maintenance of Group Benefits plan structures, claims & administration systems as well as the setup, control access, forms and maintenance that Plan Administrators and Plan Members will see and use when visiting the Group Benefits website.

Individual Accountabilities:

  • Set up New Issues (routine and complex) using the information provided on the master application
  • Process amendments (routine and complex)
  • Responsible for checking reports to ensure all changes have fed accurately.
  • Interpret how claims are to be paid from a master application or amendments as well as determine that the proposed structure can be accommodated on the various admin systems.
  • Provide question support to peers
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements using the lean methodology and thereby contribute to departmental goals.
  • Special notes may be required in certain situations, where details cannot be adequately displayed in systems field values
  • Ability to manage multiple new issues, amendments, inquiries along with same day coding for rushes to meet target dates
  • Respond to queries and concerns related to plan implementation, amendments, or advice/ideas for ongoing administration
  • When necessary, request and/or create custom dental/health packages and benefit codes.
  • If applicable, assemble and verify contract and booklet wording through the publishing system software tools and verify overrides for special contractual wording to ensure Plan Sponsor documents are accurate and completed for both new issues and amendments.
Job Requirements:
  • In depth knowledge of system processes
  • Solid knowledge of group benefit's plan structure and complexities of Client Group Options
  • Solid appreciation of the needs of plan sponsors, advisors, RGOs and other operational departments
  • In depth understanding of the various admin systems and downstream impacts to other areas.
  • Knowledge of legal contract language and what we can and cannot write in a contract or member booklet.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrates confidence/resilience in everyday situations
