  • Starting Pay:
    • Base hourly Rate (English): $18.80
    • Base hourly Rate (Bilingual): $21.80
  • $3000 Sign on Bonus
  • Hourly incentive for hours worked after 5pm and weekend shifts: $0.50
  • Monthly Bonus plan: Up to $600/month
  • You will be an employee not an independent contractor
  • Keep the same shift for 6 months
  • Two weeks of vacation, three sick days and three personal days yearly

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Help Desk Technician working from home, your main duties consist of handling telephone calls and e-mail requests from customers who need assistance with troubleshooting computers and peripherals.
  • Provide technical assistance and education to customers via telephone, remote access applications on computer and peripheral related issues (i.e. basic anti-virus/spyware/grayware protection, basic application operation, wireless applications and data backup.
  • Help customers on incoming calls with their protection plans on a variety of consumer electronics or products including but not limited to computer products, TVs , Major Appliances, and cell phones
  • In particular, the Computer Help Desk Technician will be responsible for over phone technical assistance on a variety of consumer electronics with an emphasis on computer products.
  • Troubleshoot problems and malfunctions related to operating systems, software and hardware, including failures to identify these issues.
  • Formulate and communicate resolutions for computer issues.
  • Identify customer\xe2\x80\x99s behavior that puts their system at risk. Make suitable recommendations to prevent vulnerabilities and repeat customer contact
  • Arrange appropriate service for hardware failure through approved service outlets
  • Assist in escalated matters from customers and service providers
  • Make recommendations for improvements to Help Desk operation



QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bilingual preferred (English & French)
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience and/or call center experience
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong communication skills
  • A working knowledge of PC hardware/software troubleshooting
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems pertaining to hardware and software on home and small office computer systems
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities concurrently in a fast paced environment
  • Must have a working knowledge of Windows 10
  • Positivism, dynamism, team spirit
  • Sales or retention experience is a plus

  • Offrir une assistance et de l\xe2\x80\x99information techniques aux clients par t\xc3\xa9l\xc3\xa9phone ou par acc\xc3\xa8s \xc3\xa0 distance afin de r\xc3\xa9soudre des probl\xc3\xa8mes li\xc3\xa9s \xc3\xa0 un ordinateur ou un p\xc3\xa9riph\xc3\xa9rique (c.-\xc3\xa0-d., protection de base contre les virus/logiciels espions/applications potentiellement ind\xc3\xa9sirables, fonctionnement de base des applications, applications sans fil et sauvegarde des donn\xc3\xa9es).
  • Aider les clients lors d\'appels entrants avec leurs plans de protection pour une vari\xc3\xa9t\xc3\xa9 d\'appareils \xc3\xa9lectroniques ou de produits de consommation, y compris, mais sans s\'y limiter, les produits informatiques, les t\xc3\xa9l\xc3\xa9viseurs, les gros appareils \xc3\xa9lectrom\xc3\xa9nagers et les t\xc3\xa9l\xc3\xa9phones portables.
  • En particulier, le technicien du service d\'assistance informatique sera responsable de l\'assistance technique par t\xc3\xa9l\xc3\xa9phone concernant une vari\xc3\xa9t\xc3\xa9 d\'appareils \xc3\xa9lectroniques grand public, en particulier les produits informatiques.
  • R\xc3\xa9soudre les probl\xc3\xa8mes et les pannes li\xc3\xa9s aux syst\xc3\xa8mes d\'exploitation, aux logiciels et au mat\xc3\xa9riel, puis d\xc3\xa9terminer pourquoi ces probl\xc3\xa8mes n\'ont pas \xc3\xa9t\xc3\xa9 identifi\xc3\xa9s.
  • Formuler et communiquer des solutions aux probl\xc3\xa8mes informatiques.
  • D\xc3\xa9tecter le comportement du client qui met son syst\xc3\xa8me \xc3\xa0 risque. Faire des recommandations utiles afin d\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa9viter les vuln\xc3\xa9rabilit\xc3\xa9s et la r\xc3\xa9p\xc3\xa9tition des appels du client.
  • Pr\xc3\xa9voir les r\xc3\xa9parations pertinentes, par l\xe2\x80\x99entremise de centres de service autoris\xc3\xa9s, en cas de d\xc3\xa9faillance de mat\xc3\xa9riel.
  • Aider \xc3\xa0 r\xc3\xa9soudre les probl\xc3\xa8mes prioritaires des clients et fournisseurs de services.
  • Formuler des recommandations d\xe2\x80\x99am\xc3\xa9liorations aux op\xc3\xa9rations du service d\xe2\x80\x99assistance.

  • Bilinguisme de pr\xc3\xa9f\xc3\xa9rence (anglais et fran\xc3\xa7ais)
