As a bilingual Group Underwriter for Life & Health, you will provide expertise and guidance for the development and enforcement of organizational underwriting guidelines, policies and processes. You will apply your knowledge, skills, and practices to perform assignments.
What will you do?
Achieve process performance goals, both at the individual and work unit level
Contribute to high quality risk assessment and management within the work unit
Support customer focus for internal and external customers
Understand and contribute to rating, information collection, and workflow improvements
What will you need to succeed?
Must Have:
Solid communication skills, verbal and written, in both French and English as you will regularly serve our clients and do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs
2 to 3 years of insurance experience
Strong mathematical skills
Proven collaboration/team player mindset
Ability to think conceptually and outside the box
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently while meeting deadlines
Strong negotiation, persuasion and conflict resolution skills with a bias towards customer service
Nice to have:
2 to 3 years of experience as a Group Underwriter or Group benefits experience
