Bilingual Facilities Dispatcher

Job Description

Brandt Developments Ltd. is looking for a bilingual Facilities Dispatcher for our Regina, SK location. This position is responsible for dispatching internal facilities staff and third-party vendors to conduct repairs, perform maintenance and provide new equipment installations. Primarily responsible for customer support by responding to building or property related requests in a timely and efficient manner. Ensures jobs are completed on scope and on time.
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Utilize active listening skills to assess the urgency of requests that come in and respond accordingly.
  • Manage workorders for your assigned region working closely with the Facility Manager assigned.
  • Create and issue purchase orders, communicate between tenants and vendors as jobs progress.
  • Maintain a strong focus on problem-solving, organization and preventative and regulatory building maintenance schedules.
  • Contribute to and follow standard operating procedures and business processes.
  • Understand and advocate for a safe working environment.
  • Support Facility Managers within their assigned region(s) with purchase order approvals, vendor quotations, new vendor account setups.
  • Maintain property records.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills
*Must have excellent communication skills and rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to compose service notifications and other correspondence using strong business writing skills and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills are essential.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of high school diploma is required; preference is given to those who have successfully completed a post-secondary administrative or office education program.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a field related to real estate, property management/maintenance, or dispatching preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Certification or experience in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical trades preferred.
  • Fluent in English & French
  • Bilingualism (French, English - oral and written)
