South East Adult Education is a non-profit, government-funded organization serving adult learners in Southeastern New Brunswick. We provide free educational programming for individuals aged 18+ seeking to complete their high school equivalency or strengthen essential skills. We also operate an authorized CAEC Testing Center.

We are

urgently seeking a full-time Test Administrator

to support the delivery of computer-based high school equivalency examinations in a professional, regulated testing environment.

This position is

on-site only

and requires a high level of independence, professionalism, and clear communication.

Working Hours



Monday to Friday
8:30 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.
(36.25 hours per week)

Compensation



$23.40 - $30.10 per hour
Wage is determined based on experience and education in accordance with a wage scale provided by the Province of New Brunswick.

Role Overview



The Test Administrator is responsible for the secure delivery and monitoring of computer-based examinations, along with related administrative and technical duties. This role requires excellent communication skills, sound professional judgment, and the ability to apply policies consistently in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. As this is a

business-critical

position, a high degree of

reliability and accountability

is essential.

Key Responsibilities



Establish and manage the testing center schedule Administer and monitor computer-based examinations Communicate clearly and professionally with candidates in person, by phone, and by email Maintain accurate attendance and administrative records Operate cloud-based exam delivery software Implement and manage approved medical and accessibility accommodations Provide basic technical support to candidates Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize exam disruption Perform basic maintenance of computers and testing equipment Apply testing policies consistently and enforce procedures as required

Required Skills & Competencies



Exceptional oral and written communication skills in both English and French

Strong understanding of professional boundaries and confidentiality Ability to interpret and apply written policies independently High level of organization, reliability, and attention to detail Strong customer service skills in a regulated environment Ability to remain calm, clear, and authoritative when enforcing rules Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision Strong computer skills (MS Office, Google Workspace, and ability to learn new systems)

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in business or business administration Certificate/Diploma preferred; minimum requirement of High School Diploma or equivalent (GED/CAEC)

Fully bilingual in English and French (oral and written)

Familiarity with Canadian educational, testing, or public-facing service environments is a strong asset Experience in a compliance-based, regulated, or assessment setting is an asset Willingness to consent to a criminal record check Must have own transportation

This role requires a high level of

professional judgment, communication clarity, and familiarity with Canadian testing and service expectations

. It is best suited to individuals who are already comfortable operating independently in a regulated testing environment.
