In this role, you will be responsible for performing all calculations and payments related to income replacement. You will assist in the collection of outstanding overpayments in a timely manner and work closely with the case management teams in ensuring that all overpayments due are reported to our Reconciliation Team. You will also be responsible for following up with Disability Claims Specialists to ensure that overpayments and underpayments are processed. You will be responsible for payments of all benefits in a timely manner, and in accordance with the directions given by the Disability Claims Specialist.

Your everyday with us:

-You will be required to perform all calculations related to an income replacement files by applying the appropriate calculate formula for different scenarios
-Accurately review and interpret contractual wording to determine such scenarios
-Initiate and manage the over/underpayment process through to recovery
-Work collaboratively with both internal and external business partners
-Perform follow ups when need be.
-You will be responsible to manage the Disability Calculation database by processing requests depending on urgency
-You will also be responsible for assisting in the year-end processes related to taxable income replacement plans
-You will be required to perform all payments related to income replacement in the payment engine
-Identify and suggest opportunities for process improvements.

Required Qualifications:

Education: College diploma in accounting or equivalent and/or related experience.
Work Experience: 3 years of relevant work experience
Knowledge of medical terminology would be considered an asset;
Time management and problem-solving skills
Other Qualifications: Excellent communications skills; strong knowledge of accounting
Computer Skills: Strong computer skills; strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); Lotus Notes
Language Skills: Bilingualism is required for this role.
