Who we are
At Aquila, we invest in category-defining B2B/B2G software companies globally, acting as a thought-partner, striving for the success of our companies in the long term. We are a well-managed, profitable company that operates like a startup with the financial backing of a parent company. For our people, this means limitless possibilities.
We are unapologetically unique, pivoting to respond to the needs of the multiple markets we operate in. We have ambitious goals, and we're looking for genuine contributors with integrity, energy, flexibility, and loyalty. We are investing in building future leaders who can take an idea and make things happen.
Who we need
Plurilogic, an Aquila company based in Quebec, has developed pedagogical and financial management software to empower school administrators with the technology solutions to better manage their school environment, operations, and communications.
Reporting to the General Manager of the Montreal office, we are looking for an entrepreneurial Bilingual Director of Sales (French and English), to join our team as the first sales hire. You will play a critical role in introducing our comprehensive ERP platform for schools, including SIS, accounting, admissions, and library modules, to new customers across a high-impact market. You will build trusted relationships with school leaders, promote our company and solutions, and drive revenue growth by establishing a full sales practice from the ground up. Working closely with the product team and the General Manager on strategy and market expansion, you will contribute valuable market insights that will shape upcoming AI initiatives.
This is a remote-first role with the ability to travel to client sites, conferences, and in-person meetings as needed.
Who you are
You are a results-oriented sales leader who wants to create and optimize a successful sales foundation and strategy. You know how to build and lead high-performing teams, execute sales strategies, and drive revenue growth. With expertise in sales leadership, you are energized by consultative sales, where fostering trust and delivering value leads to long-term partnerships. You are ready for an opportunity that empowers you to shape the future of sales in a rapidly evolving market.
What's in it for you
Impact. You want to build and own a sales practice that makes a measurable difference. You will establish the sales function, drive revenue growth, and shape the company's future by providing insights to the product team. Every client you engage will benefit from our powerful ERP platform, solving operational challenges for schools across Quebec.
Rewards. This is a high-earning potential role with a competitive compensation package and performance-based bonuses and with a product that customers actively seek out and value. You will receive support and resources through Aquila and the broader Constellation group while enjoying the autonomy to establish your own systems and methodologies.
Career development. You will have the opportunity to expand your scope as you build a sales team, lead large-scale initiatives, and directly influence company growth. This is a chance to gain exposure to innovative AI projects, contribute to shaping the future of our product, and position yourself for continued advancement within Plurilogic, Aquila, and Constellation Software.
How you will make an impact:
Revenue growth and KPI management.
You will drive year-over-year growth through distinct strategies for new customer acquisition and upselling to existing customers. You will lead sales opportunities from lead through to contract execution, and monitor and report on sales, average order value, and pipeline coverage on a weekly basis. You will manage sales targets and key performance indicators to ensure consistent progress toward business goals.
Sales performance and team development.
You will continuously improve sales processes to enable scalable and sustainable growth. You will build a sales team and recruit, coach, and support individuals through meetings, performance reviews, and guidance throughout the sales cycle. You will lead weekly team meetings on KPIs, pipeline reviews, and performance insights.
Forecasting and pipeline management.
You will maintain real-time oversight of the CRM to monitor pipeline momentum, identify risks, and drive tactical actions. You will deliver accurate sales forecasts and monthly projections with insights for leadership. You will develop and oversee the annual sales budget, including operational and personnel-related expenses.
Customer and market expansion.
You will collaborate with Marketing, Product, and R&D teams to stay ahead of market trends and the competitive landscape. You will build trust with school directors and administrators, identifying untapped customer needs and emerging trends by analyzing feedback and insights. You will use this knowledge to inform sales and marketing strategies and support the development of go-to-market plans for new opportunities, including AI-powered solutions.
Support soft sales.
You will own Microsoft education licensing sales as part of Plurilogic's CSP Direct reseller program. You will advise schools on selecting the right Microsoft education licensing solutions for their unique needs.
Here is what you bring:
The track record.
You have established relationships within the education sector, ideally in Quebec. You have proven success in exceeding revenue targets, building relationships, and creating trust with school leaders. You know how to identify opportunities, conduct compelling demos with product support, and close deals in a consultative sales environment. A background in education technology or ERP solutions is a strong asset.
The relationship building.
You are a persuasive communicator who understands how to build and maintain trust with diverse stakeholders. You have professional verbal and written communication skills in both English and French, the confidence to engage directly with school administrators, and the ability to influence decision-makers.
The mindset.
You are proactive, adaptable, and driven by ownership. You thrive in an entrepreneurial environment where you define the strategy, metrics, and processes. You are comfortable working with evolving targets and collaborating with product teams on new developments.
The flexibility.
You have a valid driver's licence and the willingness and ability to travel as needed to support team members, meet with clients, and attend industry events.
