ADGA Group Consultants Inc. is hiring an experienced individual for an exciting opportunity to lead deployment and cutover activities for an ERP cloud project. The individual in this role will be working in conjunction with the project Systems Integrator consultants. Reporting to and working closely with the Project Manager throughout the mandate.

Scope/stages

  • Deployment: Final technical project activities in preparation for Go-live, including planning with multiple in-house and external system owners, final data conversions & validation, building Prod envts, etc. ( UAT and end user training is not in scope)
  • Cutover & Go-live: Responsible for building a detailed Cutover and Go-live plan with clear resources and responsibilities identified.
  • Coordinate all activities associated with freeze period, providing access to users in new systems, removing access in legacy systems, Prod data load, Prod checks, coordination of business transactions etc. Work with partners to plan decommissioning of legacy systems as applicable. Responsible for building dress-rehearsal plans as applicable for the go-live.
  • Stabilization: Period immediately following Go-live, for approximately 4 weeks. The successful candidate will be expected to coordinate technical activities in conjunction with multiple partners during the stabilization period.
  • Rollback Plan/Contingency: The candidate is expected to build a rollback plan working collaboratively with various partner systems, in the event of unsuccessful or partial go-live.
Deployment lead responsibilities
  • Planning - establish deployment work plan - timeline, activities, required resources
  • Establish checkpoints and checklists as required
  • Coordinate deployment activities with Team Leads, Systems Integrator and Partners
  • Schedule and chair deployment planning meetings, take notes and publish notes and plans accordingly
  • Review project success criteria with appropriate stakeholders and establish GoLive team exit criteria
  • Monitor and follow-up on progress of deployment and cutover activities to ensure on-time delivery. Check with and direct human resources. Organize, maintain and regularly update deployment plan. Make inquiries to ensure completeness and quality of deployment activities and deliverables.
  • Propose recommendations and adjustments to Stakeholders if required
  • Verify that the change management plan is in sync. Resolve any conflict situations with appropriate Leaders.
  • Prepare appropriate updates for Project management and Steering committee
  • Resolve deployment problems by assembling involved parties and facilitating discussions
  • Use past experience to proactively "anticipateaEUR and identify key deployment issues/risks/ constraints, assemble appropriate parties and establish mitigation plans
  • Liaise and motivate resources on an ongoing basis, articulating objectives, requirements, expectations, concepts, issues and progress - in order to obtain a high level of co-operation and contribution from all deployment participants
  • Setup and coordinate GoLive "warroomaEUR or similar approach - with associated activities, resourcing, reporting
  • Align with TIS and Systems Integrator to ensure issues are quickly addressed with appropriate action plans
  • Before, during and after GoLive, assess need for support staff for various groups/at various locations and make adjustments as required
  • Monitor progress of the business transition and align with project team leads to implement any required remedial actions
  • Ensure the team focuses on business outcomes and benefits identified for the project.
Qualifications
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Experience with large IS-related project implementations and business transformation initiatives.
  • Excellent listening skills. Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills which bring clarity and precision when presenting project information and updates.
  • Strong client focus, interpersonal and leadership skills as well as ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Excellent relationship management and consulting type of skills which results in an ability to quickly earn the trust of stakeholders, mobilize and motivate teams, set direction and approach, resolve conflict, deliver tough messages with grace, ultimately so the team executes and delivers.
  • Sound business and technical acumen, with demonstrated agility in learning and ability to quickly become comfortable with unfamiliar businesses areas or technologies
  • Ability to work onsite and walk to other Precinct sites
  • Good stakeholder management and influencing skills, effective at the senior executive level
