Service New Brunswick Asset Management Analyst Open Pay Band 2 Flexible Service New Brunswick is seeking an individual to join the Client Services Branch within the Technology Services Division as Asset Management Analyst in New Brunswick. Reporting to the Asset Management Supervisor, you will be responsible to gather and organize detailed hardware and software inventory information to assist with asset purchases or redistribution across SNB. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Addressing hardware and software requests
  • Ensuring compliance with software license agreements and software usage
  • Maintaining an inventory of IT asset and configuration items
  • Assisting with shipping and receiving of technology equipment to corporate and field offices
  • Incident management
  • Assisting with the disposal of decommissioned inventory
  • Managing client escalations, investigating client complaints, and taking ownership of problems and seeing them to resolution
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate must possess a two (2) year diploma at the community college level in computer technology or in a relevant discipline. Subject to the response to this competition, an equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Applicants must clearly demonstrate the essential qualifications to be given further consideration. ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate they have training or experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • ITIL certification
  • Experience with basic computer hardware
  • Experience with Windows desktop environment
  • Extensive application support experience
  • Experience with a range of diagnostic utilities
Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration. OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Candidates will be required to undergo Criminal History Clearance prior to appointment.
