What You\'ll Be Doing

You will join the CIBC\xe2\x80\x99s Enterprise Data Hub team where you\xe2\x80\x99ll design, build, implement and maintain solutions that support and enhance the enterprise Data Lake capabilities. You will support initiatives related to ingestion into EDH as well as consumption from EDH this would be on Hadoop Cloudera Distribution as well as Microsoft Azure. As an Application Developer, this role requires involvement into the requirements, design and hands on development of various initiatives across the Big Data Portfolio.

How You\xe2\x80\x99ll Succeed

• Develop & Design - Lead the design and development of specifications, develop and build code, perform code reviews, test, debug, document, and manage changes to ensure the successful implementation and maintenance of programs.
• Analyzing Business Requirements - Research and analyze business requests and recommend solutions.
• Coordination - Participate in production and user acceptance testing support to troubleshoot complex problems on applications and technologies. Effectively interact with stakeholders, end users, business analysts, and technical resources to gather requirements and prepare design specifications as instructed by senior team members. Coordinate change ticket implementations.

Who You Are

• You can demonstrate 4-6 years of hands-on development expertise with Core Java or Scala as well as Python and SQL with technical experience in Maven, Jenkins, Github, JFrog and Bash. You have 2 or more years of working experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, HBase, Oozie, HiveQL, Hive UDFs, Sqoop, Spark, Impala. It\'s an asset if you have previous experience building scalable Data frameworks in Azure Cloud technologies as Azure Data Factory, DataBricks, Nifi, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Blob, Azure Devops, Azure Monitor, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Catalogue/Purview, CosmosDB is an asset. You\xe2\x80\x99re digitally savvy and seek out innovative solutions by embracing evolving technologies while adapting to new tools and trends.
