Summary: Responsible for managing a responses to \xe2\x80\x98Request for Tenders\xe2\x80\x99 (RFT) or \xe2\x80\x98Request for Proposals\xe2\x80\x99 (RFP) issued by customers and ensures that the solution proposed is complete and appropriate and results in the best proposal possible for long-term customer programs. Responsible for meeting planned program sales volumes, market penetration and profitability objectives.
Responsibilities: - In conjunction with the business unit & the sales team (if applicable), is responsible for submitting a completed bid to an existing or prospective customer, on time and within budget.
Prepares proposals in conjunction with various business unit, sector personnel and other levels of management.
Manages the preparation and delivery of long-term bid proposal presentations in compliance with the organization\xe2\x80\x99s policies and procedures.
Responsible for submitting and obtaining approval of long-term bid proposals.
Collaborates with the sales team in the contract bid planning process to mitigate future negative financial impact to long-term contracts (i.e. future cost of labour and materials, etc.).
Establishes, maintains and develops business relationships with customers and potential prospects.
Provides feedback to operations and the segment/sector team to assist with qualification of customer needs and the organization\xe2\x80\x99s ability to serve those needs.
Leads contract re-negotiation process for additions to original agreement.
Responds promptly to inquiries and provides proposals or options for service and/or sales required to meet customers\xe2\x80\x99 needs. Expedites the resolution of customer problems/complaints as it pertains to the bid process.
Maintains the Sales Force Dot Com (SFDC) database.
Attends industry trade shows, sales meetings, marketing workshops and other special events as required.
Manages costs by applying a thorough knowledge of market segment cost drivers.
Keeps abreast of products, applications, technical service, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical services.
Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
Carries out special projects as assigned.
Requirements: - Completion of related four year post-secondary education (i.e. Bachelor) OR related two year program with two years of directly related experience
