Are you a dynamic, community-minded professional with a passion for youth development and rural outreach? BGC London is seeking Life Skills Program Facilitators to lead innovative, hands-on programming through BGC London Rural Hubs, serving children and youth ages 4-18 in rural communities including Thorndale, Ilderton, Dorchester, Komoka, and Lucan.
In this impactful role, you will support the design and deliver engaging activities that build essential life skills - such as cooking, sewing, communication, leadership, teamwork, and more while fostering inclusive, supportive environments where young people can thrive. You'll be part of a mission-driven team committed to equity, empowerment, and creating meaningful opportunities for youth in rural areas.

Qualifications:
v Educational background in Child and Youth Care, Early Childhood Education, Social Service Work, or related field is an asset
v Experience facilitating child and youth programs in community, camp, or educational settings
v Passion for youth development, skill building, and rural community engagement
v Background or interest in creative/performing arts, leadership, or culinary arts.
v Current Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance issued by local police
v Current First Aid C.P.R. Level C Certificate required (or willingness to obtain)
v Safe Food Handling certification (or willingness to obtain).
v Access to a vehicle or reliable transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
v Support the development and facilitation of high-quality programs focused on life skills, creative arts, leadership, culinary arts.
v Foster a safe, fun, and supportive environment for children and youth to learn and engage in activities.
v Supervise & mentor youth, provide guidance, encouragement & behavior management as needed.
v Adapt programming to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
v Work with program managers and other part-time staff to ensure smooth program delivery.
v Collaborate with guest speakers and community partners to enhance program quality.
v Support volunteers, other staff, placement students by providing guidance & performance feedback.
v Ensure all activities follow safety protocols and risk management procedures.
v Act as the first point of contact for emergency situations, ensuring proper procedures are followed.
v Maintain an organized and hazard-free program environment.
v Collect and analyze participant feedback to assess program effectiveness.
v Prepare evaluation reports summarizing outcomes and recommendations for improvement.
v Maintain accurate attendance records and incident reports.
