Benefits Coordinator

Job Description



In order to ensure that the Benefits Service Centre team provides an engaging experience for employees, managers and the Human Resources team, we are creating a position of Coordinator. Reporting to the Benefits Supervisor, the incumbent's primary responsibility will be to coordinate tasks related to the administration of benefits, pension plans, absences and leaves that are performed by technicians, while providing support to manage more complex situations.

Other challenges that await you:

  • Validate weekly transactions related to benefits, pension plans and absence management to ensure proper processing on the payroll of our various employee groups;
  • Oversee the allocation of vacations, perform bank reconciliation and answer various questions;
  • Support the management of disabilities by preparing the employer's form, guiding employees and managers in completing the various required documents and collaborating with the Disability Management Consultant to follow up on certain disability files;
  • Administer the group insurance program offered to our banner stores, including preparing and sending documentation and cost simulations to new entities;
  • Ensure that procedures are kept up to date, and actively participate in improving the efficiency and operational effectiveness of processes; and
  • Master the HRIS to support the technicians and be the resource person in the absence of the superuser or during special projects.
Requirements

You have 3 to 5 years of experience in the field of employee benefits, pension plans and customer service, combined with a university degree in human resources or industrial relations. You are also known for:

  • Your excellent customer service skills, your analytical mind and your ability to propose creative solutions; and
  • Your advanced proficiency in Excel and you have an additional asset if you have used PeopleSoft HR or Workday.
