, in which the individual will work independently within client homes, daycares and the community. There is ongoing supervision in a supportive environment that provides continual feedback, training and assistance by a BCBA/RBA and a Clinical Team. The position starts with Part-time hours but can increase to a Full-time caseload as desired.
Traveling between clients to provide direct one-to-one therapy services with the client in an in-home or community setting.
Tailoring and delivering specific ABA intervention/procedures for the benefit of the individual.
Implementing all programs and undergoing bi-weekly observations and training/feedback during the duration of service
Solely responsible for using and implementing ABA strategies effectively during all session times
Consulting with the BCBA/RBA for any questions or concerns about the client's current needs or future goals
Maintaining a professional presence and attitude during all session times; with parents and other connecting professionals
Connecting with families to give a brief overview of session progress and the clients overall skills, along with parent training in sessions
Attending team meetings and contributing to the overall success of the client
Credentials/Experience:
Must have a valid driver's license, liability insurance and access to reliable car;
need to be able to travel within the Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge and surrounding areas.
Mandatory degree in a relevant field; Psychology, Sociology, Social Services, etc.
Mandatory: 1-year experience in the field of ABA
Preferred: Certificate in Autism and Behavioural Science (ABS) and/or Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT)
