We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic behaviour interventionist (BI) with experience working with non-speaking children and some knowledge of ABA to run home-based ABA sessions with a happy and playful 3.5-year-old girl on the autism spectrum. The sessions will be in person at the learner's home for 1.5- 2 hours, on the weekends, and training will be provided under the direction of a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst.
Some of the learners' goals are language goals, play goals, following instructions, social skills, and independence skills.
As a BI, you must be creative and active, responsible for implementing individualized behavioural plans, recording data, participating in scheduled team meetings, and collaborating with other team members and professionals.
Location: North Vancouver
Days: 2 afternoons on weekends
Fluent in English (knowledge of Farsi language is an asset)
Applicants in Psychology, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, and Speech & Language Pathology fields are encouraged to apply
Experienced working with children with special needs, specifically non-speaking children, is an asset
