We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in providing support and guidance to individuals with behavioral challenges, particularly children. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in special education and patient care, alongside skills in data collection. As a Behavioural Specialist, you will work closely with clients to develop effective strategies that promote positive behaviour and enhance overall well-being.
Duties
Implement individualized programs in alignment with the established treatment plan.
Manage and maintain an assigned caseload of clients.
Contribute to the development and refinement of each child's personalized curriculum.
Support the child's personal care needs as required during each therapy session.
Monitor and collect behavioural data; follow prescribed behavioural protocols consistently.
Prepare and organize instructional and therapeutic materials as needed.
Accurately record, graph, and analyze data; write detailed reports and progress notes; identify and escalate exceptional circumstances or suggest modifications to the treatment plan.
Actively participate in the treatment planning process in collaboration with parents and relevant team members.
Maintain consistent and effective communication with the Clinical Supervisor.
Engage in daily communication with parents to provide updates on the child's progress and session outcomes.
Demonstrate, explain, and model effective intervention strategies; mentor, guide, and support Junior Instructor Therapists to ensure quality and consistency in service delivery.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, or a related field is preferred.
Experience working with children, particularly those with behavioural challenges.
Strong skills in data collection and analysis.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
