Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Implementer to join our behaviour team. In this role, you will work directly with individuals with behavioural challenges, implementing treatment plans designed to improve their quality of life. The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a difference and possess strong & compassionate clinical skills to effectively engage with clients.
Duties
Implement individualized behaviour intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) and Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA).
Collect and record data on client progress and behaviours during sessions.
Provide direct support to clients in various settings, including the group home and community environments.
Assist in the development of strategies to promote positive behaviours and reduce challenging behaviours.
Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients while fostering independence and skill development.
Collaborate with families and other professionals
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Complete some light house cleaning duties and daily meal preparation for clients.
Experience
Previous experience
working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities and youth that present with high-risk challenging behaviours.
Minimum 1-year experience
working in a group home setting is required.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are critical attributes for success in this role.
Completion of
post-secondary education
in psychology, social work, or a related discipline, or an equivalent
combination of education and experience
