We are looking to hire a Behaviour Interventionist (BI) to support our 3.5-year-old autistic daughter. We are seeking someone warm, patient, and reliable who can work with our family on an ongoing basis.
About Our Child:
She is a bright, very active, sweet young child who benefits from structured support, consistency, and play-based learning. We are especially focusing on safety awareness, communication, and day-to-day regulation.
What We're Looking For:
Experience working with autistic children (formal training is an asset but not required if you have relevant experience).
Ability to follow a behaviour plan created by a Behaviour Consultant or BCBA.
Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate with our family and therapy team.
Reliability, patience, and a kind, child-centered approach.
Responsibilities Include:
Implementing individualized behaviour programs.
Teaching communication, play, self-help, and social skills.
Using positive reinforcement and play-based strategies.
Daily data collection (training provided).
Maintaining a safe and engaging environment.
Schedule: Part-time 2 hours a day / 5 days a week
Sessions take place in our home.
Compensation: 30/h - payment will be drawn from the Autism funding.
Bilingual: Russian/English is an asset
