We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Behavioral Specialist to join our dynamic educational team. Responsibilities
Design and implement evidence-based behavioral intervention strategies tailored to individual student needs, including those with disabilities or behavioral challenges.
Develop comprehensive curricula that incorporate learning technology, instructional design principles, and best practices in special education.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate behavior management techniques into daily lesson plans across subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, and preschool activities.
Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust intervention plans accordingly to ensure continuous growth.
Provide training and ongoing support to educators and support staff on classroom management techniques, conflict resolution, and behavior modification strategies.
Maintain detailed documentation of student behaviors, interventions applied, progress notes, and compliance records in accordance with educational standards.
Engage with families through regular communication to share progress updates, provide guidance on behavior strategies at home, and foster strong partnerships.
Utilize learning management systems (LMS) for tracking student data, lesson planning, and instructional resources management.
Support early childhood development initiatives by applying knowledge of childhood development stages and toddler care best practices.
Promote an inclusive classroom environment that respects diversity and encourages positive social interactions among students of all abilities.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Psychology, Child Development or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or early childhood education environments.
Strong knowledge of behavior management techniques and experience implementing behavior intervention plans.
Familiarity with curriculum development for diverse learners using LMS platforms and learning technology tools.
Expertise in classroom management strategies across various age groups including toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary students.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math skills, physical education activities, and library services when applicable.
Experience working with students with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable.
Knowledge of Montessori methods or other specialized early childhood educational approaches is a plus.
Strong organizational skills for maintaining detailed records and documentation of interventions and progress reports.
