Behaviour Aide Position (Evenings)

Motion Focus and Sports Clinic Inc. is seeking for an empathetic, engaged, and self-motivated Behaviour Aide to support children with developmental needs. This role is ideal for individuals who are comfortable assisting with behavioural support, regulation strategies, communication strategies, daily routines, and structured therapy-based activities designed by the child's clinical team. We are currently hiring for an immediate position in North West Calgary

Key Responsibilities



1. Behavioural & Daily Support

Provide

one-to-one behavioural support

in the home and community. Assist with

daily routines

, transitions, organization, and task initiation. Implement strategies to support

emotional regulation

,

communication

, and

executive functioning

working memory). Facilitate sensory regulation activities, communications, and calming strategies tailored to the child's needs.

2. Therapy Support



Carry out

therapy activities

and home-program exercises provided by: Occupational therapist (OT) Physiotherapist (PT) Psychologist or behavioural therapist Other clinical providers Ensure

consistency

in delivering therapeutic strategies across sessions. Observe and track the child's responses, triggers, sensory needs, and progress. Provide feedback to the parent and therapists to help refine programming.

3. Transportation & Appointment Support



Attend appointments with the child as required.

Qualifications



Experience supporting children with

Autism

, sensory processing differences, executive functioning challenges, or similar neuro-developmental needs. Experience following

clinical or therapy-based programs

(OT, PT, psychology, SLP, behavioural therapy). Background in psychology, social work, education, and child development or currently enrolled in or have completed programs. Ability to stay calm, emotionally attuned, and flexible. Knowledge of sensory regulation strategies, movement breaks, and co-regulation techniques. Must be reliable, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality. Current CPR/First Aid and recent Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain). Enjoy working with young children and can adjust to their individual needs and strengths. A reliable communicator and open to ongoing learning and collaboration. Have interest in behaviour, child development, behaviour analysis, psychology, social work and implementation of evidence-based interventions. Can commit to a minimum 8months-one year.

Compensation will be based on experience. Job Types: Part-time Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
