About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Program Manager - Aquired Brain Injury (ABI) and working in close collaboration with ABI Day Program team members and members of the ABI Outreach and Outpatient teams, the Behaviorist participates in the initial assessment of acquired brain injury survivors, development of behavioral treatment plans and depending on the caseload assignment, individual and/or group-based rehab programs, provides behavioral interventions and education for survivors, their caregivers and other health professionals. There are two Behaviorist positions aligned with the Acquired Brain Injury Program: one with a caseload in the ABI Day Treatment Program and the other with a caseload in the ABI Outreach Team. The Behaviorist is one of the on-site supervisors of the Therapeutic Assistants (TAs) and provides direction and coaching to the TAs. As a member of the ABI Day Program team, the Behaviorist will work with survivors to support their adaptation to social and group-based activities, design and develop programs to foster adaptive pro-social community re-integration and participate in developing and delivering the Programs\' Core and Series curriculum.
