Job Description

We are a licensed group childcare facility in Pitt Meadows currently looking for a Before and After School Care team member! As part of the Before & After School Care team you will be responsible for the care, supervision and leading activities for children ages 5 years to 12 years. As per licensing requirements applicants must be a minimum of 19yrs old to be considered for this position.

This is a

Monday to Friday position

split shift with hours similar to: 7:00am - 9am and 2:00pm - 5:45 pm. We are looking for a candidate that has

open availability Monday to Friday

for a split shift (Kindly, please do not apply if you are unavailable for the morning and afternoon shifts). This position also requires flexibility to work full time hours on school Professional days and school closures. For the right candidate, there could be additional hours in other programs should the successful candidate hold, or be in the process of obtaining an ECE Assistant license.

Requirements:

Ideally 1 year working in a child care setting, summer camp, girl guide leader etc. However we are willing to train. Responsible adult certificate or willing to obtain (short online course) Ability to program plan and implement age appropriate activities Supervise children and be responsible for leading and directing group activities independently and as a team. Ability to develop positive relationships with families Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community services Supervise indoor and outdoor play (including field trips) Ensure program standards are upheld and implement policies & procedures Self starter and takes initiative to achieve program goals Valid first aid certificate (or willingness to obtain) Valid Criminal record check (or willingness to obtain) ECE Assistant license considered an asset

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
