Job Summary: The Beam Saw Operator/Yard Hand is responsible for operating beam saw machinery to cut materials accurately and efficiently while also assisting in the overall yard operations. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Beam Saw Operation:

• Operate beam saw equipment to cut materials according to specified dimensions and quality standards.
• Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on saw machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor the cutting process for quality and make adjustments as needed.
• Material Handling:
• Assist in loading and unloading materials from trucks and other vehicles.
• Organize and maintain the yard, ensuring materials are stored safely and efficiently.
• Use forklifts or other machinery to move materials as required.
• Safety Compliance:
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any issues to management.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with other team members to meet production goals and timelines.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding material needs and production status.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience operating beam saws or similar machinery is a plus.
• Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Skills:

• Basic mechanical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings is a plus.
• Effective communication skills.

Work Environment:

• This position involves working in a warehouse environment, with exposure to loud machinery and varying temperatures.
• The role may require standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
