Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Forklift Combilift operator/yard hand to join our team.

You will be responsible for providing general assistance in various tasks related to the steel manufacturing operations in our facility, including assisting painters, machine operators and welders. This role requires the operation of a combilift forklift, some physically demanding abilities to load/unload material deliveries. Responsibilities:

- Assist with loading and unloading trucks using combilift forklifts

- Moving steel, material handling, operating feeding lines in shop

- Maintain inventory accuracy by ensuring proper storage and organization of materials

- Maintain yard stock

- General laborer duties, including painting and housekeeping

- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times

- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals

Skills:

- Ability to lift 50 lbs, if required and perform physically demanding tasks, when required

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

- Basic math skills for inventory management and calculations

- Proficiency in operating forklifts

- Experience of safe use of power tools and tool/equipment maintenance

- Safety training certifications, an asset

- 1 year manufacturing shop/warehouse experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
