We are seeking a passionate and skilled BBQ Pitmaster to join our team, specializing in all wood, craft BBQ. The ideal candidate will have a deep appreciation for traditional BBQ techniques and a commitment to delivering high-quality smoked meats. This role requires expertise in managing the smoking process, ensuring flavor profiles are perfected, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
Oversee the entire BBQ cooking process, from preparation to serving.
Select and prepare wood for smoking, ensuring optimal flavor infusion.
Monitor cooking temperatures and times to achieve perfect doneness.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the BBQ station and equipment.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to create menu items that highlight smoked meats.
Train and mentor junior staff on BBQ techniques and safety protocols.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food preparation.
Experience
Proven experience as a BBQ Pitmaster or similar role in a professional kitchen.
Strong knowledge of various wood types and their flavor profiles for smoking.
Familiarity with different cuts of meat and their specific cooking requirements.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
