Who we are looking for:
ACSA is hiring a Community Programmer and Administrator, responsible for the day-to-day operations, administration, program delivery and community engagement at the ACSA Bay Mills Hub. This position plays a key role in ensuring the Hub is a welcoming, inclusive and vibrant community space where residents, youth and families can connect, learn and thrive.
The Community Programmer and Administrator is responsible for front reception administrative tasks, including the coordination of space, ongoing data collection and creation and distribution of outreach materials. Additionally, this role includes the planning and facilitation of programs for children, youth seniors and residents.

About the role:
Support the Bay Mills Hub reception desk by answering daily inquiries, signing in visitors and participants and maintaining the overall organization of the space.
Coordinated space bookings, scheduling and inventory management.
Maintain daily program attendance, registration, evaluation and program data.
Lead the planning and facilitation of the After School Program, ensuring best practices and safety protocols are adhered to by staff and volunteers.
Follow and implement positive, behaviour management practices into programming and within the Hub space.
Plan and facilitate programming for children, youth, seniors and residents within the Bay Mills Hub and as needed, in the broader community.
Develop and create ongoing outreach material and an outreach plan, for programs and Hub activities.
Encourage resident participation, support community-led projects, and conduct outreach to promote programs and initiatives.
Liaise with local partners and agencies to strengthen community connections and collaboration.
Participate as a team member on the delivery of other activities in the Agency
Protect own health and health of others by adopting safe work practices, reporting unsafe conditions immediately; follow all guidelines for employees and employers as legislated under the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act
Performs the responsibilities of the position within the legislative and regulatory standards set out in the applicable Acts and consistent with the policies of ACSA
About you:
Minimum 2 years of experience working in community based not-for-profit agencies,
Diploma or degree in Community Services, Social Work, Education, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of positive youth development, behaviour management strategies and inclusive facilitation practices.
Demonstrated experience working with children and youth, with strong program facilitation skills and knowledge of program planning.
Experience working with diverse communities and sensitivity to cultural issues; commitment to the value of diversity and inclusiveness.
Knowledge of diverse needs of Scarborough communities, specifically those of the Bay Mills community.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Canva and data collection tools.
