Dance Teachers

Looking for BATD certified dance teachers (prefer BATD but Adapt, CDTA etc. acceptable)

We are looking for dance teachers that are passionate about providing our dancers the best experience. We are looking for dance teachers for

recreational and exam

dance classes for kids

ages 2 and up

for ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, acrobatics and musical theatre. All applicants must be willing to provide a vulnerable sector police check and first aid training certificate.

Dates and Availability

Positions needed starting Fall 2025 through to the end of June 2026 with opportunity to continue year round. Weekdays and weekend availabilities. 2 locations in Markham.

Responsibilities:

- teach recreational/exam dance classes for children from ages 2 and up
- be comfortable teaching a variety of dance styles including some or all of the following: Parent and Tot, Creative Movement, Ballet, Lyrical, Tap, Hip Hop, Jazz, Acro and Musical Theatre
- create lesson plans from provided curriculum and ensure your lesson plans compliment the studio curriculum
- teach age appropriate choreography for multiple performance events each year
- be a team player and willing to supply teach and co-teach if necessary
- All applicants must have previous dance training for minimum of 5 years.
- dance teacher qualifications BATD, RAD, ADAPT, CDTA and previous dance exam experience are preferred.
- office shifts may also be available if interested in additional hours

We are looking for teachers who have a passion for teaching young dancers, so please send a resume or cover letter specific to that. Must be already located in and able to work in Canada. Must have own transportation as transportation is not provided.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 - 10 per week
