We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Batch Maker to join our manufacturing team in the food industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and mixing ingredients according to specified recipes, ensuring product quality, safety, and efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of food processing standards, sanitation practices, and mechanical operations to support our production goals. The Batch Maker plays a vital role in maintaining smooth manufacturing operations while adhering to strict food safety and sanitation protocols.
Responsibilities
Measure and combine ingredients accurately following established recipes and production specifications
Operate packaging equipment to prepare finished products for distribution
Utilize forklifts safely to transport raw materials and finished goods within the facility
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in compliance with food safety standards
Monitor equipment performance and perform basic mechanical troubleshooting when necessary
Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet safety and quality standards
Follow all safety protocols related to food processing, machinery operation, and sanitation procedures
Assist in inventory management by tracking ingredient usage and reporting shortages or discrepancies
Skills
Knowledge of packaging processes within a manufacturing environment
Experience operating forklifts safely and efficiently
Background in the food industry or food processing preferred
Understanding of manufacturing workflows and food safety regulations
Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues
Strong attention to detail for precise measurement and mixing of ingredients
Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for recipe adjustments and measurements
Knowledge of sanitation procedures essential for maintaining a clean production environment
Familiarity with food safety standards and compliance requirements
