The Line Maintenance Base Engineer is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and scheduling the activities of the crew members to complete tasks safely while meeting project milestones, staying within budget and to the standard of airworthiness.


Your responsibilities:




Mentor/support and train new staff in a positive fashion. Ensure new hires receive a list of required training, ensure onboard training is complete, and competencies are demonstrated. Conduct daily crew meetings to discuss inspection/maintenance milestones, timelines, and requirements to promote crew engagement. Responsible for the safety of all crew, ensuring that all regulations and policies are being met. Review and understand upcoming maintenance requirements and obligations prior to commencement of each inspection. Assign and schedule tasks to staff based on skillsets, giving individuals opportunities to learn, while maintaining accountability to productions schedule. Complete daily reviews of the inspection/maintenance to ensure that the work package reflects the actual status of the inspection/maintenance. Ensure all maintenance paperwork and documentation is up to date; accuracy and integrity is maintained for all issued documents. Liaise with other departments to ensure positive outcomes with inspection timelines and unscheduled maintenance. Conduct weekly meetings with the Director of Line Maintenance and provide updates on all maintenance activities.

Your Distinctive Ingredients for Success:




Post-secondary education in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (M rating) or equivalent. Valid Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) M1 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) License. Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, preferably in a line or base maintenance environment. Demonstrated working knowledge of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs). Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Demonstrated organizational and leadership abilities, including effective delegation. Completion of a King Air 200 type course is preferred.
