is looking for

customer service-driven and reliable Bartenders to join our team at The Burton Cummings Theatre.


As part of the

Bartending

team, you will deliver efficient service of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while exceeding guest expectations in a fast-paced environment.

What to be excited for in this role:

Ensure the proper portioning and service of alcoholic beverages. Verify inventory before and after each shift, and support set up and breakdown of work area. Uphold open communication with all working teams. Ensure supervisor is informed of issues that arise, and support resolutions. Support proper inventory control, cash handling, cleanliness, equipment operation, and safety. Willingness to work outside as needed. Perform other duties as required that align with the responsibilities of the role and the needs of the organization.

What we need from you:

2+ years of experience in a bartending position as an asset. Basic knowledge of beer, wine, spirit, and familiarity with standard drink recipes. Familiarity with POS systems and digital registers. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills. Ability to effectively and efficiently solve customer concerns with the utmost professionalism. Ability to keep calm under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Willingness and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Ability to work in a team environment. Current Smart Choices Certification or willingness to obtain.
