Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, serving beverages, and ensuring that all guests have an enjoyable experience.

Duties

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware and utensils Process orders efficiently using the POS system, including Micros POS, while ensuring accurate cash handling Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns Adhere to food safety and handling guidelines to ensure a safe environment for both staff and patrons Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service and ensure timely delivery of orders Manage time effectively during busy shifts to maintain high service standards Keep track of inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed

Experience

Previous experience in the restaurant or food industry is preferred Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash flow Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling regulations Excellent time management skills to handle high-volume service periods efficiently A background in hospitality or serving is highly desirable

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00-$22.00 per hour

Bartending: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

Serve Right (preferred) Nova Scotia Responsible Alcohol Service Certificate Course (preferred)
