We are currently looking for professional bartenders (2) both roles are part time. NeXT is open 5 days a week and is open for dinner service currently from Wednesday to Sunday, from 5 pm to 9 pm. Our restaurant is very busy on Friday and Saturdays over 100 guests, additionally we host banquet events weekly weddings and private events on Saturdays, these events vary in guest size from 30 to 120 guest. Know all our banquet events are evening dinner based, this position will primary focus on Friday & Saturdays. This is a perfect role, for candidates who are looking to supplement their existing income, YOUR COMPENSATION Bartenders can expect a average gross salary of between $32 to $42 per hour. this is based on a hourly rate of $18 per hour, coupled with a 2.5% net of sales from the restaurant which is straight pay distributed bi -weekly. Additionally Bartenders are entitled to equal share of Banquet event gratuity which is equally distributed to all event staffing. YOUR MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - Be smart serve certified. - Be available for Friday and Saturday\xe2\x80\x99s weekly service up to and including 1 additional shift Wednesday, Thursday, or Sunday subject to business levels. - Have a proficient understanding of cocktail culture. - NeXT will provide training on our signature cocktail program. - Possess experience in POS systems. - Be comfortable handling cash and providing change when required. - Be able bodied, this position requires you to stand and move actively. - This role is only open to Canadian citizens who reside within the Ottawa Region along with students who possess a visa that will allow them to work while studying here in Canada. WHAT IS NeXT? We are a 11,000 square foot facility located in west end of Ottawa, Stittsville, Ontario. We offer the following services: - Banquet & Event facility for up to 130 guests in up two 3 different rooms. - 110 seat casual dining room featuring an eclectic a la carte menu, featuring some of Chef Blackie\xe2\x80\x99s best food memories from his 30 plus year career. - Take home catering, via our casual dining room menu.
