Mixology and Crafting Cocktails:

Creating a wide range of cocktails with a passion for mixology, experimenting with different ingredients, flavours, and techniques to craft unique and delicious drinks.

Customer Interaction:

Building rapport with guests, listening to their stories, and making them feel welcome through social interactions and excellent customer service.

Multitasking:

Efficiently handling multiple drink orders, staying organized, and embracing the challenge of multitasking during fast-paced and demanding periods.

Knowledge of Spirits and Beverages:

Being knowledgeable about various types of spirits, wines, beers, and other beverages, including their flavour profiles, origins, and recommended pairings.

Creativity and Adaptability:

Embracing the opportunity to be creative with new cocktail creations and adapt to evolving customer preferences and industry trends.

Preferred qualifications and skills:

Previous experience bartending required Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in NS (19) Serve Right certification (or equivalent) required Must have experience with Point of Sales systems (i.e. Micros) Must have excellent knowledge of all beverage products (wines, scotches, ports and liqueurs) Must have well defined knowledge of classic cocktails and techniques Ability to work flexible hours - weekends and evenings as required Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Ability to multi-task with focus on guest experience Must be professional, personable and well-presented Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills Must have exceptional organizational skills and be detail oriented

Based on the nature of our business and the service we provide to our guests, to work with us, you must consent to a criminal background check as a condition of employment and an additional criminal background check every two years. As a seasonal resort business, you can anticipate a schedule that will involve day, evening, night, and weekend work. Long hours moving around, walking, sitting, standing, and crouching while performing other duties is to be expected Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and otherwise moving objects up to 75 lbs in weight Occasionally ascending or descending stairs and ramps Constant focus and repetitive work are to be expected Ability to manage timeline pressures and constraints There may be interactions with patrons who are impaired Based on the nature of this position, you would experience long periods of guest interactions
