MUSKOKA BAY RESORT - BARTENDER

POSITION SUMMARY

The Bartender provides quality bar service for Muskoka Bay Resort as well as assisting the Food and Beverage Director/Designate and other staff with the day-to-day responsibilities of the department.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide full bar service for all areas of the resort. Monitor guests dining experiences to ensure member and guest needs and expectations are being fulfilled. Provide assistance with banquet set-up, service and breakdown. Ensure consistent quality and delivery of products/services to all members and guests. Maintain bar area in a clean and presentable condition. Ensure all members and guests have a positive golf experience at Muskoka Bay Resort. Ensure superior levels of customer service and guest satisfaction. Side duties as required. Ie: restocking, setting up and closing of patio, polishing of glassware and silverware

SKILLS, ABILITIES, ATTRIBUTES

Excellent customer service skills Knowledge of beer, wine & spirits and proper service techniques. Able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, otherwise move objects. Computer literate Re: P.O.S. systems, Word, and Excel. Excellent listening skills and creative problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. Approach responsibilities in an organized and energetic manner. Ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Previous F&B experience at a property of similar size and luxury status. Must have Smart Serve Certificate
