Work collaboratively with producers and Management
Organize Delivery of livestock
Report Defect of livestock back to producers
Monitor/Train Probing employee(s)
Ensure daily hog numbers meets target
Uphold all food safety requirements
Coordinate annual open house for producers
Organize and Supervise barn employees
Responsibilities
COMPLIANCE
Ensure all employees are using personal safety equipment & following safety procedures.
Accomplishes human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching for support and providing constructive discipline; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; adhering to policies and procedures.
Enforces HACCP, CFIA and food safety regulations which are practiced above reproach
Enforce compliance with all federal, provincial and local government legislation
Ensure adherence to standard Company operating procedures and policies
Ensure abide by rules governed by the CBA
Ensure respectful relations with the producers
Ensure compliance of Animal Humane Audits
QUALITY AND SPECIFICATIONS
Ensure review of livestock
Ensure tattoo placement and report to producers
Ensure animal welfare is being followed
OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY
Demonstrably committed to continuously improve producer relations and processes, maximizing fiscal responsibility while maintaining our customer expectations and minimizing waste
Monitor achievement of Company objectives of product quality, and satisfaction and efficiency targets
Coordinate order requirements in an efficient manner
SAFETY
Provide a safe working environment for all employees
Ensure facility is safe and suitable to receive live animals

Set an example and provide leadership by instilling team goals and objectives

Inform team members of hog changes, so proper actions can be taken
Maintain good relations with producers
Monitor unloading of pigs (be able to do so if needed)

Enter relevant data relating to Hog Procurement, Pig Trace and Government Forms
Requirements
Examples of adding value as both an individual contributor and active team member
Experience in the meat industry with experience acting as a Procurement Coordinator
Ability to build rapport quickly with key members of the executive team.
Understanding of the key role production has on customer needs
Manage projects on-time and on-budget
Availability for conference calls
Computer skills with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.

Pay: $19.23-$31.25 per hour
