Banister Provisions at Hero's Welcome is seeking a barista & customer service member to join our team at our takeout window concept. Our goal is to provide the community great coffee, pastries, sandwiches and other retail items, working in conjunction with our pizzeria for a whole day elevated experience.
Responsibilities
Greet customers and provide assistance with their orders, inquiries and issues.
Process transactions accurately using the POS system.
Prepare beverages including drip coffee, pourover and other hot and cold beverages to specs ensuring a consistent quality product
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service and display area to optimize visual sales.
Collaborate with team members effectively to ensure smooth operations during peak hours, creating synergy
Demonstrate excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
Requirements
Have availability Friday to Sunday (We are expanding our opening days soon but these are the current days we're open)
Previous experience in customer service, preferably within the food industry, bakery, etc.
Previous experience and interest in pourover coffee brewing techniques as well as other hot & cold beverages (matcha, tea , etc)
Knowledge of food handling and safety practices.
Proficient in using POS systems and basic cashiering functions.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on providing outstanding customer service.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn new skills
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
