Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your ability to provide exceptional customer service and maintain a clean and organized workspace will contribute to the overall success of our cafe.

Responsibilities

Prepare and Ensure all beverages are prepared and served to the highest standard, following recipes and quality control procedures . Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and responding to inquiries. Develop and refine coffee recipes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and preparation techniques. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest quality of food service. Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and restocking supplies as needed. Engage with customers and team members about in-store coffee offerings, demonstrating excellent knowledge of coffee origins, flavour notes, and brewing methods. Manage time effectively to fulfill customer orders promptly while maintaining quality. Stay-up-to-date on industry trends and new coffee products, making recommendations for menu updates.

Skills and Qualification

Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing. Excellent knowledge of of coffee preparation techniques, espresso machines, and specialty coffee products. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a specialty coffee environment, with at least year in supervisory or leadership role. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Experience in cashiering or food service is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food safety practices within the food industry. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.85-$18.00 per hour
