Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and experience in the food industry. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and providing exceptional service to our customers. Your ability to manage time effectively while multitasking in a fast-paced environment will be essential to your success in this role.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed Maintain cleanliness and organization of the barista station, dining area, and equipment Assist with food preparation and serving as needed, adhering to food safety standards Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns Utilize POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and payment transactions Demonstrate knowledge of food handling practices to ensure compliance with health regulations Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment

Experience

Previous barista experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided Experience in the food service industry is highly desirable Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy setting Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing Familiarity with food safety standards and practices

Pay: $17.85-$18.00 per hour
